Gary Shirkey Project Superintendent

Gary has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and has served as a superintendent for 17 years, working on medical, commercial, residential and industrial projects. As a superintendent, he is responsible for the day-to-day construction activity on the site, including the coordination of subcontractor work, safety, budget maintenance, scheduling of work, processing change order requests, shop drawings, management of building inspections, and coordinating weekly job site meetings. Gary develops a detailed understanding of the scope of work, the plans and specifications, assists with value engineering during the construction phase, and closely monitors the performance of the work to assure quality and compliance with the construction documents. He closely monitors the construction schedule to ensure the project is completed in a timely manner without incurring unnecessary cost and overtime.
